Bob is the youngest of 13 children born to Peter and Mathilda (Leis) Neises near St Marks, Kansas. After graduating high school, he worked in Wichita factories before joining the Navy in 1960. He attended boot camp in San Diego. In January, 1962 he married Mary Jane Gorges. They moved to California where Bob was stationed. After fulfilling his active duty requirements, Bob joined the Naval Reserve, serving a total of 29 years between active and reserve duty. After leaving active duty, Bob began working for Del Monte Foods. He worked there until the family moved to Kansas in October, 1976. In November, 1976 they moved to Garden Plain. In July, 2003, he and wife Mary moved to Tippecanoe Street in Wichita, Kansas. Bob retired from Boeing Commercial Aircraft in May, 2004 to take care of his wife Mary, who was suffering the effects of multiple strokes. In February of 2005 they took their "dream vacation", as they took a "Cruise with Carol" to the Western Carribean/Mexico. Bob and Mary had three sons, Robert Francis, II (Feb 17), Raymond John (Jan 20) and Ricky Christopher (July 10). They have 6 grandchildren (4-granddaughters, 2-grandsons).
Bob keeps busy in retirement, recently moving back out to Garden Plain (5/2007)
